Lisa L. Corcoran, Founder
Lisa L. Corcoran established Alternative Financial Services, LLC in 2003 to assist small businesses and individuals who lack the time or skills to manage their daily money matters. With integrity and professionalism, Lisa makes sure her clients' financial responsibilities are met.

The unusual depth of Lisa's professional experience enables her to offer a broad range of business and personal financial-organizing services. Her role as a financial organizer for busy professionals, small businesses and seniors is complemented by 15 years of experience managing office buildings across the country. Having supervised building construction and maintenance, she brings valuable perspective to her clients' real estate investment properties. Her diversified background provides a solid foundation of superior skills in budgeting, financial analysis and organization.

Lisa is certified as a ProAdvisor® for QuickBooks® financial software, versions 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, as well as QuickBooks Point of Sale® 4.0 and 5.0. She is one of only a handful of people in Monmouth and Ocean counties to obtain this prestigious dual certification.

To balance her passion for numbers and organization, Lisa escapes to the great outdoors, where she enjoys camping, hiking and kayaking with her six-year-old daughter, Emily. She is also a wine aficionado and frequently manages to work wine touring into her vacation plans. Lisa and her family have bottled their own Meritage wine at The Wine Room of Monmouth County, and explored the Chianti region of Tuscany on a recent holiday.

Alison Seminara, Associate
Alison Seminara graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Economics. She has more than 10 years experience with QuickBooks® and is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®.

Alison has a diverse business background and has worked in a variety of industries, ranging from finance to retail. The former co-owner of a bicycle shop, she now holds a real estate license and has consistently achieved more than $1,000,000 in sales annually. She also has extensive accounting experience in commercial real estate.

Laura Christian, Associate
Laura Christian has put her bookkeeping and organizational expertise to good use from New York to Hawaii—and many places in between. As the wife of an Army officer, she and her family have moved around the world, giving her an unusually diverse professional background.

Laura is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor® and has more than 15 years of bookkeeping experience. Most recently, she worked for an accounting firm in Virginia, where she did QuickBooks® setups, maintenance, training and troubleshooting. Over the years and across the globe, she has excelled at a variety of volunteer positions. She brings a problem-solving mind and superb interpersonal skills to every job.

Laura currently lives at Fort Monmouth, where her husband is stationed. Her son, Nicholas, is in the Florida National Guard and is currently serving in Iraq. Her daughter, Leslie, attends Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys running, bowling, traveling and meeting new people.
